Unbuckled Driver Pinched Twice

If you have a warrant out for your arrest, it's probably a good idea to follow the letter of the law. Gary Green of 3 Prospect St., Norwalk, is a case in point. On Aug. 11, Green, 23, was pulled over on Wilton Road for not wearing his seatbelt. A computer search revealed Ridgefield police had an active warrant out for Green's arrest. He was taken into custody and charged with failure to pay or plead.

? Michael Pastore, of St. Louis, Mo., was pulled over Saturday on Charles Street for failing to display his headlights. The arresting offer smelled alcohol on Pastore's breath. After failing field sobriety tests, Pastore was arrested and charged with operating under the influence, having insurance coverage below the minimum and failure to display lights.

? Steven Sites, 34, of 789 North Park Ave., Redding, was pulled over on Post Road East Sunday after police received a report of a car driving erratically. When police located the car, it was seen driving between the two eastbound lanes. A strong smell of alcohol was detected on Sites' breath when police approached him. He failed field sobriety tests and is charged with operating under the influence and failure to drive in the proper lane.
