EASTON, Conn. Easton residents are invited to turn their unwanted or broken gold jewelry into cash this Friday during the Easton Public Librarys The Pot of Gold at the End of the Rainbow party.
Jewelers from Fairfields Henry C. Reid will test and weigh all jewelry and offer a fair market price for the gold. Friends of the Easton Public Library will get 15 percent of the evening's total price, which will help fund the many programs the library brings to the public for free.
Wine and hors d'oeuvres, coffee and sweets will be served. A tarot card reader will be available as well. The price will be $20 for 15 minute tarot reading. A similar event was held in December in which the library received $1,350 in just three hours.
The event takes place March 16, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the library, located at 691 Morehouse Road.
