Tree Trimmers Cause Power Outage In Redding On Monday Morning

REDDING, Conn. -- A total of 198 customers in Redding were without power on Monday morning, Connecticut Light & Power reported on its website. 

That represents 5 percent of the town's customers.  

The Redding Pilot reported that a private contractor trimming trees on Portland Avenue knocked down a power line.The bulk of the outages are on Portland Avenue, Mountain Road, Pine Mountain Road, Peaceable Street and Portland Hill Road.
