Teen Crashes Jeep Into Utility Pole in Weston

WESTON, Conn. – Steep Hill Road was closed Friday after a teen drove her Jeep Cherokee head-on into a utility pole, police said.

The teen was traveling east on Steep Hill Road approaching a left uphill turn when her vehicle went off the right shoulder. It traveled on grass for about 10 feet before hitting the pole, then slid back into the middle of the road from the impact.

The driver told police she swerved to the right because her vehicle was drifting to the left. Weston Fire and Weston Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene, the police report states.

Weston Police do not release the names of juveniles. The owner of the vehicle is Maryellen Taroli of Wilton.
