Former Weston resident Stefan Mirowski, an inventor and welder, died Monday at age 77.
Mirowski, who was born in Poland on Dec. 3, 1932, traveled through Europe, Asia and Africa with his family before they moved to the United States in 1958. He spent 40 years as an inventor and welder known for creating metal artwork.
He was predeceased by his wife, Halina Link Mirowski. He is survived by two children, Yvonne Mirowski and her husband Steven Cappella and Elizabeth Mirowski and her husband Brian Coffey; and two grandchildren, two sisters, and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday also at Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk. A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
