Westport police were on the hunt for a man suspected in the Friday night robbery of Radio Shack at 877 Post Road E.
Shortly before 9 p.m., the suspect entered the store and confronted the clerk, warning that he had a gun in his pocket. Though a gun was never drawn or seen, the suspect demanded cash.
With an unknown amount of cash in hand, the suspect left the store on foot in an unknown direction. Police dogs and patrol units searched the area but found nothing.
The suspect was described as a black male, light to medium skin tone, about 5 foot, 7 inches with a thin build. He was wearing blue jeans and a fleece zip jacket. He was wearing a black skullcap and was described as having severe acne.
