WESTON, Conn. - State Rep. John Shaban is hosting a forum on West Nile virus awareness on Oct. 17 at Weston Town Hall, 56 Northfield Road, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
The forum will hear from Paul Capotosto, biologist for the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, Dr. Randall Nelson from the state Department of Public Health Epidemiology Program and Mark A.R. Cooper, the director of health for the Westport/Weston Health District.
The panel will give a short presentation designed to educate the community about the virus and give prevention tips. There also will also be a question and answer period.
The event is free and open to the public.
