Pop Artist Coming to the Easton Public Library

EASTON, Conn. – Eastonites can learn all about pop art when Michael Albert presents his recycled cereal box collage workshop at the Easton Public Library on Jan. 28.

Albert will make a short presentation about his art and then participants will create their own pop art out of consumer packaging, old photographs and discarded cardboard and other raw materials - just like Albert does.

Albert’s book, “An Artist’s America,” introduces children to pop art and is suitable for ages 8 and up. It will be available for purchase and signing at the event.

This program will consist of two separate sessions, each free and two hours long, The first session is from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for children in Kindergarten through 4th grade. The second session will take place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. for children in 5th through 12th grade and adults.

A collection of Albert’s collages will be on exhibit in the library through Feb. 14. For more information call 203-261-0134.
