Police Press Search for Westport’s Lisa Martins

WESTPORT, Conn. – Westport police are working with local and state law enforcement agencies in the search for Westport teen Lisa Martins, who reportedly ran away from her home April 4.

“We’re using all the tools we have to try and locate her,” Capt. Sam Arciola said Tuesday. “We’re certainly concerned about her safety.”

Lisa, 15, was spotted in the Norwalk and Bridgeport areas after she went missing. She also has ties to the Naugatuck area, Arciola said. Detectives are visiting locations they have received information about as possible places Lisa may be.

Last Monday, the department appealed to the public for help but has not received any additional information since then. Arciola said it’s possible someone she knows is sheltering her.

“If that’s the case, they’re not doing her any good,” he said.

Lisa is 5-foot-6 and about 175 pounds. She has olive-colored skin, brown eyes and most recently, had black, shoulder-length hair. She has been known to dye her hair blond.

Arciola said anyone who thinks they have information about Lisa’s whereabouts should call the Westport Police Department at (203) 341-6000.
