- The Weston High School Boosters will host The Harvest Hoedown at Chestnut Farm, a farm-fresh food and wine festival, on Sunday, Oct. 12, from 4 to 7:30 p.m.
- A 15-year-old Wilton High School student was arrested Monday in connection with a swastika incident at the school. Later in the week, a second swastika incident was reported.
- A Fairfield woman Jill Tarlov, 59, who was hit by a bike as she walked in New York's Central Park, died of her injuries.

- The construction to restore the 1770 farmhouse on the Lachat Farm off Godfrey Road West continues with a new back portion of the house and updated foundation work.
- Weston High School played its first football game under the new lights on Friday night.
- Nine students at the Thurgood Marshall Middle School greeted John W. Marshall, the youngest son of the late U.S. Supreme Court associate justice, for whom the school was named, as he made a recent visit to the Bridgeport school. Students from Easton and Fairfield also attend the magnet school.
