Passenger Hit With Disorderly Conduct

It was a typical case of he said, she said in Westport on Monday after a male motorist accused his girlfriend, Norwalk resident Victoria Hussain, of slapping him. According to reports, police were flagged down by Hussain's boyfriend on Riverside Avenue. He told police that as he was leaving bible study class, Hussain, 24, got into his car and an argument ensued. For allegedly slapping him while he was driving, Hussain is charged with disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. She is due in court on Sept. 29.

• Bridgeport resident Shayquan Vega, 22, got the attention of Westport police Tuesday after she was spotted driving without a front license plate. A computer check of the rear plate revealed it was stolen. When police pulled her over, a check of the vehicle's identification number showed that the registration was cancelled. Vega is charged with failure to display plates, misuse of plates, operating an unregistered vehicle, and theft of a number plate. Police later confiscated the license plate and the car was towed. Vega is due in court Sept. 2.
