One-Car Crash Closes Route 53 In Weston

WESTON, Conn. — A one-vehicle crash has closed Route 53/Newtown Turnpike in Weston on Friday afternoon.

Route 53 is closed between Valley Forge Road and Tudor Road due to the one-car accident, according to the state Department of Transportation.

The accident was reported at about 1:05 p.m.

It was not clear how long it would take to clear the accident scene and reopen the road, DOT said.
