10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.: Stained Glass for Beginners (session 1 of 2) at the Weston Library. Learn the basic skills needed to create a stained glass sun-catcher. All tools and materials will be provided. Instructor Michel L'Huillier will make available a wide selection of "cathedral" and European mouth-blown "antique" glass. This class is free and open to all adults 18 and up. Space is limited to 10 participants. Register at the reference desk.

7 p.m.: The Weston Newcomers and Neighbors Club holiday party at the Weston Field Club, 28 Ladder Hill Road South. Hors d'oeuvres, dinner, cocktails and dancing. Cost for members is $25 per person, non-members $65 per person or $90 per couple. Registration is required. Email Tammy Roberts at membership@westonctnewcomers.com for more information.
