Man Charged With Exposing Self to Child

Easton resident Joel Gagner of 15 Brookside Drive turned himself in to Westport police on Oct. 29 knowing there was a warrant out for his arrest. The warrant stemmed from an Oct. 11 incident in which Gagner, 45, allegedly exposed his genitals to a young boy.

According to police reports, the incident took place in the men's room at the Barnes & Noble at 1076 Post Road E.

Published reports say Gagner was also arrested by Shelton police for allegedly sexually assaulting a 5-year-old girl there May 16. Court records show in this case, Gagner was charged with first-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a child. He is scheduled to appear in Milford Superior Court Nov. 22. He was being held on $25,000 bond in Bridgeport Correctional Center on those charges.

In the Westport case, Gagner was charged with risk of injury to a child, public indecency and breach of peace. He is due in Norwalk Superior Court Nov. 8.
