The Easton Public Library may lose its interlibrary book loaning program if the federal government shuts down, said Bernadette Baldino, library director.
The loss of the federally funded Connecticar program would be "detrimental to our service," said Baldino.
At noon Thursday, the Easton Public Library had one bin nearly filled to the top with books to be delivered to surrounding libraries. Baldino said the library receives about two bins of books each day from other libraries, which consists of requested and returned books.
