WESTON, Conn. If your child is in third grade or above, you can attend a series of free parenting workshops that begin Wednesday at the Weston Public Library.
The workshops take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Pre-registration is suggested, but not required. To register, visit the Weston Youth Services website.
The workshops for parents of third- through sixth-graders will be led by Jacqueline Lapa Sussman, a Weston psychotherapist and author who practices "eidetic image psychology." Her books are: "Images of Desire: Finding Your Natural Sensual Self in Todays Image Filled Society and Freedom From Failure: How To Discover the Secret Images That Can Bring Success in Love, Parenthood, Career, and Physical Well-Being."

April 11: How to Build Self-Esteem in Your Child
April 25: Six Ways You as a Parent Influence Your Child's Personality
May 2: Overcoming Powerlessness as a Parent Strategies to Deal With Your Child Effectively.
The workshops for parents of fifth- through 12th-graders will be led by Barbara Greenberg, a Weston clinical psychologist who works with teenagers. She is the adolescent consultant at Silver Hill Hospital in New Canaan and the author of "Teenage as a Second Language. Her website is talkingteenage.com.
