Free Health Screening Offered to Weston Residents

WESTON, Conn. – Weston residents will be able to get free cholesterol and blood pressure screening in observance of Heart Awareness Month at the Westport Weston Health District.

The program will be held at the district's offices, 180 Bayberry Lane in Westport, on Saturday and again on Feb. 28. Both screenings will be held from 8 to10 a.m.

The test, which requires only a few drops of blood from a finger stick, will generate a total lipid profile (cholesterol, triglycerides, LDL and HDL) and glucose levels. Interested residents need to fast for 12 hours before the test.

The cost for the screening is $25 payable by cash, check, MasterCard or Visa. Registration is required and can be done by either visiting www.wwhd.org or calling Monica Wheeler at 203-227-9571 ext. 242.
