The worst damage is the back of the home. The cause of the fire, which broke out at about 1:30 p.m., is unknown, Weston Fire Chief John Pokorny.

No one was home at the time, and no one was hurt, but two cats are missing. A mailbox in front of the home had the name "The Horners" on it. An owner arrived home later Wednesday afternoon.

Weston firefighters extinguished the fire with help from Wilton, Ridgefield and Georgetown fire crews. Firefighters used dry hydrants to fight the blaze.
