Easton resident Jocelyn Mathiasen will take over as director of the Milford land-use agency, replacing Doug Novack.
Mathiasen was selected by Milford Mayor James L Richetelli Jr from a pool of six finalists, according to published reports. He was once in charge of land use and permits in Bellevue, Wash.
Milford's planning and zoning commission, inland wetlands commission and building inspection departments recently combined to form one group.
