Easton Police Ticket Three In Union Cemetery

EASTON, Conn. - The Easton police haven't apprehended suspects in the vandalism at Union Cemetery on Aug. 3, but on Aug. 11 they issued citations to three Torrington men who were found in the cemetery after dark.

Tracy Mailhor, 46, Benjamin Fitzpatrick, 19 and Dylan Regis, 19, were issued $92 trespass citations after they were found hiding in the cemetery. They were sought in a suspicious vehicle incident on Westport Road after 8 p.m. and were found in the cemetery sometime later. A police spokesperson said they are not thought to have been involved in the Aug. 3 incident.

In other Easton police blotter news:

* A home burglary was reported on Morning Glory Drive on Aug. 15. The owner of the home said jewelry was stolen and hasn't provided a list of stolen items yet. The police responded to the call and found drawers open in the home.

* A home owner on High Meadow Road who had reported a burglary that occurred between June 23 and June 30 visited the police station to fill out a report. He said jewelry had been stolen.

* On Aug. 10, a roaming cow was reported on Stepney Road. The owner of the cow retrieved it before the police arrived so no action was taken.
