Easton: Mark Your Calendar

Friday

• 11 a.m.: Spring luncheon featuring five-course Italian buffet, Easton Senior Center, 650 Morehouse Road. Entertainment by Bob Giannoti. $25.

Saturday

• 2 to 4 p.m.: Garden Tour open house, Sport Hill Farm, 596 Sport Hill Road. Behind the scene tour of the greenhouses and fields, firsthand look at the market and local products as well as educational events. Raffle to receive "Seasonal Eats" basket (contains seasonal produce for that month and fresh bread). Two baskets will be given away: One in July, the other in August. The event is free.

• 3 to 5 p.m.: Conversation with John F. Hill, fine art photographer, Easton Public Library, 691 Morehouse Road. Presentation will highlight John’s photos of Antarctica and provide instruction on taking better pictures.

• 7 to 11 p.m.: An American Songbook, Roberto's Restaurant, 505 Main St., Monroe. An evening benefiting the Easton Public Library, starring vocalist and entertainer Tony B, accompanied by the Richie Iacona Quartet. Price of $100 per person includes dinner and open bar. Sunday

• 9 to 11:30 a.m.: Annual Fishing Derby, Toth Park, Black Rock Turnpike. For Easton children ages 15 and under. Prizes will be awarded in several categories. Live bait will be provided. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and prizes will be awarded at 11:30 a.m. Free but open to Easton residents only. Bring your own fishing pole.

• 3 p.m.: An afternoon of song featuring Aaron Caruso with proceeds to benefit the Easton 9/11 memorial, Notre Dame Church, 655 Morehouse Road. For adults, $25; seniors and children are $20. Tickets may be purchased at the Easton Senior Center or by calling Sal and Marilyn Santella at 203-374-3161.

Saturday, May 7

• 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.: Easton Garden Club’s Garden Mart, Firehouse Green at Sport Hill Road and Center Road. Colorful hanging baskets, Mother's Day gift plants and an assortment of rare and hard-to-find annuals and perennials will augment large assortment of perennials from club members’ gardens. Rain or shine. Free admission.

Saturday, May 14 

• 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.: Country Chicks: Farmhouse Flowers, Sport Hill Farm, 596 Sport Hill Road. Unleash your creativity. Create a beautiful outdoor centerpiece using a variety of flowers, herbs and found objects. Preregister by May 7. $25 per participant, all supplies included.

• 2 to 5 p.m.: Annual Tune-a-Bike, Easton Community Center, 364 Sport Hill Road. Professional bike technicians from Brookfield Bike Center will help get those wheels rolling for the spring. Free for members, $5 non-members. Limit of one bike per participant.
