Easton Firemen's Carnival Comes to Town in August

EASTON, Conn. – The Easton Volunteer Fire Department is gearing up for the town's social event of the summer--the 76th annual Firemen's Carnival. Mark your calendars--Tuesday, Aug. 2, through Saturday, Aug. 6-- and plan to reunite with friends, take a chance at the games and scream loudly on the rides.

The rides will run from 6 to 11 p.m. and might include bumper cars, the Ali Baba, the Cliff Hanger, the Rip Cord and kiddy rides.

Join the crowd under the packed tent for a chance to win at Bingo. Or enter the raffle to win a 2011 Chevrolet Camaro SS, a $500 Stop & Shop gift certificate or a $250 Mobil certificate. Tickets are $25 and the winner will be announced Aug. 6 at 11 p.m. on the firehouse green.

In addition to sandwiches, grinders and fries, there will be different meal specials each night. And don't forget to try the peach shortcake at the dessert tent.
