Easton Fire Department to Hold Fire Safety Talk

EASTON, Conn. – In response to the tragic Christmas fire in Stamford, the Easton Community Center is teaming up with the Easton Fire Department, the Easton Volunteer Fire Company #1 and the Easton Fire Marshal's Office to offer "Vital Fire Safety for Adults."

The Jan. 19 seminar will begin with a video showing an actual home on fire and include a presentation by Easton's Deputy Fire Marshal Lucy Crossman and Easton's 1st Assistant Fire Chief Steve Waugh. The event will end with questions from the audience.

Deaths in fires will be discussed and other material presented may be disturbing, so children under 13 are asked not to attend. The seminar begins at 7 p.m. at the Easton Community Center, located at 364 Sport Hill Road.
