Easton, Developer Going Back To Court Over Saddle Ridge Development

EASTON, Conn. -- The dispute between the the Easton Planning and Zoning Commission and Saddle Ridge Development LLC regarding the Easton Crossing proposal is on its way back to court, according to a story in the Easton Courier.

The hearing will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8 in Hartford Superior Court on two issues -- The Planning and Zoning Commission's denial of the 105- and 99-unit proposals, and the Conservation Commission's denial of the 99-unit proposal, according to the story.

The town originally approved construction of 21 houses on the property in 2008, but in 2009 the developers filed an application to build 105 units, the story said. The Planning and Zoning Commission rejected the proposal, and the developer submitted another application to build 99 units and that was rejected by both the Planning and Zoning and Conservation commissions, the story said.
