Kevin Gagner of Monroe was issued an infraction April 23 on a charge of failure to follow at a reasonable distance after he rear-ended Robert Popp's vehicle on Buck Hill Road in Easton.
Gagner said he was traveling south on South Park Avenue when he noticed Popp of Easton coming to a stop in front of him. Gagner told police he slammed on his brakes but slid on wet pavement and collided with Popp.
Popp told police he was slowing to take a left turn onto Buck Hill Road when he looked in his rearview mirror and saw Gagner closing in at a high rate of speed. Popp told police his back was injured and needed medical attention. Gagner refused medical help.

Lisa Moutinho of Trumbull was issued an infraction April 22 on a charge of failure to obey a traffic signal at Route 59 and Adams Road. Moutinho told police she was driving east on Adams Road when she stopped for a stop sign. She thought oncoming traffic also had a stop sign, and she did not see James J. Hornyak of Newtown until the last second. As Moutinho traveled through the stop sign, she struck Hornyak's vehicle.
Hornyak, who was driving with a trailer in tow, told police he tried to avoid the collision but failed.
Police said there were skid marks in the roadway, indicating that both drivers attempted to avoid the collision. Neither party needed medical attention. Both vehicles were towed because of the damage.
Luke Watson, 22, of Easton, was issued an infraction April 22 on a charge of following too closely and passing in a no pass zone on Route 136 in Easton.
