WESTON, Conn. Weston residents can check out more than just books at the Weston Public Library, as two documentary films will be shown this month.
The first, A Walk Around Brooklyn, follows the highly popular walking tours of the New York City borough and profiles its diverse neighborhoods and historic landmarks. This is one of a series of walking tours produced by Thirteen/WNET, New York's public television, in association with the Brooklyn Historical Society.
The screening will be held on Sunday, March 25, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the library.
The second documentary, DIRT! The Movie, is brought to you by the Friends of the Weston Library and the Weston Sustainability Committee. The film is narrated by Jamie Lee Curtis and brings to life the environmental, economic, social and political impact of soil. This screening will be held Thursday, March 29, at 7 p.m.
Both screenings are free and open to the public. The library is at 56 Norfield Road.
