DeeDee Brandt, a candidate for state representative from the 133rd District, sees a growing disconnect between town and state officials and the citizens they serve as a major problem. To improve communication, the Fairfield Republican has started to go door-to-door in the parts of Fairfield and Westport included in the district.
"Citizens of our community know best the issues that affect them and are offering compelling information and feedback on what their leaders can do to help get our state back on track," Brandt said.
The former Fairfield RTM and Board of Finance member is attempting to unseat two-term Democrat Kim Fawcett.
Brandt plans on meeting as many residents as possible and encourages voters to go to her website to learn more about her.
