? Easton and Redding voters both passed their towns’ budget referendums Tuesday. Easton voters signed off on $41.2 million in spending by a 577-184 vote. In Redding, the town’s $47.5 million budget passed 689-654.
? Weston’s Board of Selectmen continued its work on passing a firearms ordinance last week. The board made an adjustment to the ordinance it passed earlier this year to ban target practice on residential property. The change will go to a public hearing later this month.
? In regional news, Fairfield County’s traffic was ranked among the worst in the nation this week. The Greater Bridgeport area picked as the sixth-worst metropolitan area for traffic in the U.S.
? Weston’s Emmanuel Episcopal Church is nearly finishing with its new parish hall. The church hopes to open the space up to community events starting in July.
