Brush Up on War of 1812 at Easton Talk

EASTON, Conn. – How much do you know about the War of 1812? According its nickname, “the forgotten war,” the answer probably is, very little. But residents will have a chance to brush up on their history and learn more about the war that guaranteed America’s independence at a lecture hosted by the Easton Historical Society.

Just in time for the conflict's bicentennial anniversary, “The Forgotten War of 1812” will be held at the Easton Public Library on Saturday, Jan. 21, at 1 p.m. Betty Oderwald, president of the U.S. Daughters of 1812, will share her knowledge about the war 1812 and its impact on Connecticut residents.
