Police responded to the area and eventually located the three suspects in a nearby woods. They were charged with home invasion, third-degree burglary, and third-degree larceny.
According to the Stamford Advocate, the home invasion charges were reduced to first-degree burglary and larceny charges, which eliminated a 10-year minimum sentence that would have been handed down. The three instead received sentences of four years in prison, followed by seven years of special parole, the Stamford Advocate reported.
