WESTPORT, Conn. -- Golfers who regularly curse the Longshore bunkers, can soon rejoice as more than $1.1 million has been approved by the Westport's Board of Finance to make improvements to the area.
The improvements, with funding primarily provided via golfers greens fees, will include liners to prevent rocks, improved bunker lips, irrigation, and playability enhancement.
The effort will be coordinated by Parks and Recreation Director Jen Fava, Chairman Charlie Haberstroh, and a special consultant.
