WESTPORT, Conn. – The Art About Town opening night street party scheduled for 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. is postponed to next Thursday at the same time due to the weather, the Westport Downtown Merchants Association announced.
“The WDMA invites everyone downtown next Thursday for an evening filled with art, music and free fun for the whole family,” the announcement said.
During the event, Main Street will be closed to traffic next Thursday night and transformed into a giant street party featuring live music, interactive art demonstrations, street performances and food.
Now in its third year, Art About Town is three-week art event organized by the merchants association during which hundreds of original works of art by area artists are put on display in restaurants and businesses downtown. All works of art are also for sale.
