The luncheon is open to anyone, and all are welcome to attend on Friday, Bob Mitchell, coordinator of the luncheon, told Daily Voice.
"The church does this every year," Mitchell said. "The last few years, it's been at a different venue. It's not a full-cooked feast like Thanksgiving, but it's good food, and all donated. We have lots of volunteers, Santa Claus, presents, musicians."
The meal, which is free, is served up from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 25 in the church’s Hoskins Hall.
The church even offers rides for those who may not have a way to get out, Mitchell said.
"There are so many people who have no place to go on holidays," Mitchell said. "This gives them an opportunity to come out and get some good food, and enjoy good company. It's just a nice thing to do.
"We've been doing it for years and years, and we do it in conjunction with three other churches."
Co-sponsoring the reception are Temple Israel, the Unitarian Church in Westport, and the United Methodist Church of Westport/Weston.
