The highlight of Family Week at the Y is the annual Halloween Spooktacular at 6 p.m. Oct. 25, according to a press release. All kids ages 10 and under are invited to "participate in a costume contest, explore a haunted hallway, bob for apples, visit a Witches Cottage and more," according to the release. The Halloween Spooktacular takes place in the Y’s Bedford Building and is open to all with fees set at $5 per person and $15 for families of four.
The following is a listing of other events featured during Family Week at the Y:
Monday -- Family Craft Make animals of all kinds, even dinosaurs! Creations will be able to stand up on their own when we're done! Family Craft will be 3-4:30 pm in the Pool Lobby. Tuesday -- Family Concert Listen to all the hits at a kid-friendly concert in the Bedford Lobby, 9:30-10:30 am Wednesday -- Movie Night Join us from 6 to 8 pm for a screening of “Toy Story” in the Board Room. Popcorn and punch will be provided! Thursday -- Family Kickball Bring the kids for the most fun way ever invented to stay active -- kickball! We'll be playing in the Upper Gym, 7- 8 pm. Friday -- Halloween Spooktacular Our annual costume party for kids up to 10 years old. There is a $5 registration fee for all participants; $15 for a family of four. "Through engagement with families, the Y helps them learn, grow and thrive, individually and together. Family strengthening in the Y is both an array of unique, family-focused programs as well as an underlying, fundamental philosophy that is integrated throughout all programs, membership practices and efforts."
