The event for students in grades 4 to 7 will be held from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19.
Youth Fun Nights are a Y institution, and a great way to hang with friends or meet new ones. Scores of tweens and teens filled the Family Y last month for the kick-off event this fall.
“Where else can you find swimming, basketball, table tennis, bingo and other board games, plus ice cream, all in one place?” said Meaghan George, the Y's camp and youth director in a statement. “At Youth Fun Nights, when our Family Y turns into a clubhouse for kids only.”
Youth Fun Night costs $15 if your signs up by 5 p.m. the day of the event or $20 at the door. To register or for more information, visit http://www.westporty.org.
“The Y was one of the first places my parents let me come alone with my friends,” said Y member Riley Baker in a statement. ”I had wanted to go to the movies and places, but I had much more fun at the Y – fun nights with all of my friends. We all got together and had a great time.”
If your child has special needs, contact Meg at mgeorge@westporty.org or 203-226-8981, Ext. 179 and she will help match a youth/adult volunteer or staff with your child. The Family Y also welcomes volunteers, with children of volunteers admitted for free.
