The birding hike will be held June 12 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Newman-Poses Preserve in Westport.
Hosted by the Aspetuck Land Trust, managers of the preserve, the hike will focus on migratory and year-round species. Milan Bull, director of Science and Conservation for the Connecticut Audubon Society, will lead the hike.
The hike is open to the first 20 people who respond by email to dbrant@aspetucklandtrust.org.
The hike will begin at the entrance between 307 Bayberry Lane and 313 Bayberry Lane, north of Easton Road/Route 136.

The Aspetuck Land Trust is a local nonprofit land conservation organization founded in 1966 to preserve open space in Westport, Weston, Fairfield and Easton.
The ALT preserves provide passive recreation and educational opportunities for people to learn about and enjoy nature, while preserving the flora and fauna and rural characteristics of local communities. It maintains 44 trailed nature preserves and other conservation-only properties on over 1,700 acres of land.
