This is the astonishing story of one American couple who transported 50 Jewish children from Nazi-occupied Austria to America in 1939.

Filmmaker Steven Pressman will introduce the film and then hold a discussion afterward about the film and his new book on this true story, "50 Children: One Ordinary American Couple's Extraordinary Rescue Mission into the Heart of Nazi Germany." The story is based on the unpublished memoir of Eleanor Kraus.

The event is co-sponsored with UJA/Federation of Westport, Weston, Wilton and Norwalk.

Steven Pressman, who was a magazine and newspaper journalist for more than 30 years, is the writer, director and producer of the documentary, which was made for HBO.
