Westport Continuing Ed Launches Goal Setting for Success Course

WESTPORT, Conn. -- Westport Continuing Education has added a new program to its Speakers' Bureau series.

The new program, "Goal Setting for Success," is offered at 7 p.m., Oct. 9, at Staples High School (Room 1036), 70 North Ave. in Westport, according to a news release from Westport Continuing Education.

The instructors include Marcelle Soviero and Catherine Siroka, editor of the Westport - Greenwich edition of Macaroni Kid. The course is tuition-free, but requires a $10 registration fee and advance sign-up, according to the release. 

"In the tradition of Westport Adult Continuing Ed, the course will be informative and give attendees tangible goal setting techniques," representatives wrote in the release. "Ms. Soviero will addresses both personal and business goal-setting and growth, while Ms. Siroka will discuss growing your business through targeted marketing. Both will give insight, tangible techniques and helpful handouts so attendees leave with an action plan."

At “Goal Setting for Success,” Siroka is scheduled to speak on “nurturing yourself” via personal accomplishments and professional goals, according to the release.

"She will also share marketing and social media know-how and help attendees brainstorm ways to promote their businesses both locally and on the national level," representatives said in the release. "Macaroni Kid is an online, free newsletter featuring community happenings, family-oriented activities, a business directory, recipes, giveaways and more."
