Throughout the month of December, the Weston Police Department and the Marine Corps League teamed up to collect gifts for the Weston Toys for Tots Campaign. The Daily Weston recieved this letter from Weston Police Officer Chris Powers.
WESTON, Conn. Members of the Marine Corps League would like to thank everyone who took the time to support the 2011 Weston Toys for Tots Campaign. This year we collected a total of 568 toys in Weston. These toys were distributed locally to less fortunate children for the holidays. Your support has played a part in the continued success of this very important program. Its people like you who make a difference in this community.
Again, many thanks for your generosity. We hope that you and your families have a safe and Happy New Year.
