Weston Newcomers Club Names Board

WESTON, Conn. – Anne McMahon has been named president of the Weston Newcomers & Neighbors club for 2012-2013.

The club invites residents to participate in a variety of organized activities, including seasonal events, such as a cocktail party on Sept. 29. Other activities, from a book club to game nights, chick flicks and dining events, are also on the club’s agenda. Kids play groups and seniors lunches are also scheduled.

There are currently 150 club members. “We have all ages, and it’s very appealing,” McMahon said. “It’s ideal for new residents who don’t know a soul because it’s difficult to meet people when you don’t have children.”
