Trice Calise, Ex-Weston Schools Employee, Dies

WESTON, Conn. – Trice J. Calise, 71, of Ridgefield, formerly of Weston, died March Saturday, March 31, at Danbury Hospital. 

Calise was born in Rahway, N.J., on Jan. 16, 1941, to the late Peter and Anne (Sulo) Jandrisevits. She attended New Jersey schools and graduated from St. Elizabeth Seton College with bachelor's degrees in home economics and biology. A resident of Ridgefield for the past 11 years, Calise previously lived in Weston. She was also a former resident of Tennessee, Florida, Virginia and New Rochelle, N.Y. 

The wife of Frank J. Calise, she was a retired educator at St. Mary School in Ridgefield. She previously held jobs with American Express and the Weston school system. Calise was a devoted member of St. Mary Parish in Ridgefield. While she enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, bocce ball and travel, her life and total joy was her family. 

In addition to her husband of 46 years, Calise is survived by her daughters, Susanmary (Paul) Janerico and Liz Jay of Ridgefield; her son, Stephen (Gennifer) Calise of Ambler, Pa.; her brothers, Peter (Gail) Jandrisevits and Russ (Eileen) Jandrisevits; 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. 

A Mass was celebrated on Tuesday at St. Mary Church in Ridgefield, with burial in St. Mary Cemetery in Ridgefield. Funeral arrangements were handled by the Kane Funeral Home in Ridgefield.
