WESTON, Conn. – The Weston Police Department is still accepting donations of new toys for this year’s U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program.
The police department is located at 56 Norfield Road.
Representatives of the Toys for Tots program give less fortunate community children new toys for Christmas.
Weston’s program is usually intended for children 12 years old or younger.
Families in need of toys should consult with a church, a Social Services Department office, or a Family and Children’s Aid office.
Community members interested in supporting the program can also make donations online or by mailing a check or money order to Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, 18251 Quantico Gateway Dr., Triangle, VA 22172.
“If you are in a position to make a donation, please remember the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program as a wonderful way to make a difference,” said state Rep. Dan Carter (R-2) in a press release.
