WESTON, Conn. You can brighten the day of an underprivileged child during the holiday season by donating a toy to the 2011 Weston Toys for Tots Campaign.
The Weston Police Department and the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation run the program. Many drop-off points are set up throughout town, including at the Weston Police Department at 56 Norfield Road and at Weston High School at 115 School Road. Residents can drop off all types of unwrapped toys for boys or girls until Dec. 19.
Residents can also make a monetary donation at www.toysfortots.org. All money donated will go toward purchasing toys locally for needy boys and girls. Last year, Toys for Tots distributed nearly 16,000 toys to 8,000 children across Fairfield County.
