The Easton Arts Council is exhibiting 59 photographs by a number of artists at the Easton Public Library through Dec. 18. Rene Genest, owner of Storytellers Photography in North Haven, will act as juror for the exhibit.
The photographs depict scenery, and all invited to participate are regional photographers. Cash and prizes will be awarded to first place in both the adult and under 18 divisions. Those entries will also go onto permanent display at Town Hall. All photos will be eligible for inclusion in the council's 2011 calendar.
As a juror, Genest brings a wealth of experience to the table. He is the past president of the Professional Photographers of New England and was recently named Photographer of the Year by the Professional Photographers of America.
The library, 691 Morehouse Road, is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays to Fridays and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays. For more information, email the council or call 203-261-0175.
