Michael Forman, 69, Easton Accountant

EASTON, Conn. – Michael Forman, 69, of Easton, died April 19 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. 

He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Benjamin and Ida Forman. He graduated from Pace University with two passions: taxes and Wall Street investing, which he learned from his mother. 

After serving in the U.S. Army Reserve, Forman worked at Hertz Corp. and Caldor. He then established his own accounting practice more than 25 years ago. Forman was a member of Congregation Rodeph Sholom and an enrolled agent for more than 30 years. 

Forman is survived by his wife of 37 years, Susan Silverman Forman; two sons, Marc and Jeffrey Forman; a sister, AnnEtta Grumet and husband Norman; and two grandsons, a brother-in-law and a sister-in-law.  

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Abraham L. Green and Son Funeral Home in Fairfield. Burial will follow at Rodeph Sholom Cemetery in Fairfield. Shiva services will be at 7 p.m. from Tuesday to Thursday at his home in Easton. 

Memorial donations may be made to Congregation Rodeph Sholom or the Easton Senior Center.
