Math Whiz Match-Up: Men From Bethel & Stratford Face Off On 'Superhuman'

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — Two math whizzes from Fairfield County will prove that computing is a superpower at they meet up Monday night and compete for a $50,000 grand prize on the TV show "Superhuman."  

One contestant with local ties is Stratford’s Jonathan Matte, 47, who by day is a math teacher at Greens Farms Academy in Westport. 

Another of the six contestants is Ethan Brown, an 18-year-old from Bethel. He is a recent graduate of Phillips Academy in Andover, Mass., and a self-proclaimed mathemagician.

The episode, called “No Task Too Tall,” was taped last summer. 

"Superhuman" is hosted by actor Kal Penn of "Designated Survivor" and judged by former heavyweight champ Michael Tyson, singer Christina Milian and neurosurgeon Dr. Rahul Jandial.
