Market-Goers Unfazed by the Heat

The steamy weather didn't stand in the way of vendors and shoppers eager to pick up fresh veggies at the Westport Farmers' Market. Westport Chamber Executive Director Lisa Thygerson stopped by for a taste of Fairfield Barcelona Chef Erin Hunt's samples. "We did Valencia tomato gazpacho from the 'Barcelona Cookbook,' golden tomato gazpacho and charred tomatillo gazpacho," said Hunt, the featured chef of the week. Thygerson approved. "Yummmm," she said.
