This letter to the editor is in support of Weston Selectman Dan Gilbert, who is running for first selectman in town.
To the editor,
You feel like you know people when you watch their enthusiasm as they volunteer their talents.
Dan Gilbert has volunteered for years with the Soup Kitchen Ministry at St. Francis of Assisi Church, serving the hungry at Norwalk Emergency Center, helping prepare meals and serving those in need.
At Weston Senior Center, Dan is an integral part assisting St. Francis volunteers who serve lunches.
At AmeriCares projects, we have watched Dan work tirelessly to assist various families.
Dan is sincere and gives his time to help others. It's a pleasure to know him and work beside him.
