To the editor:
Dan Gilbert is a leader who demonstrates his leadership through ongoing community service. We have participated with Dan for many years in two important community service programs. As a regular volunteer at the Manna House of Hospitality a soup kitchen at the Norwalk Emergency Shelter Dan serves meals to hundreds of needy men, women and families, treating them with the highest level of respect and compassion. Dan is also an AmeriCares/HomeFront volunteer, devoting his time to help restore dilapidated homes for area families. We proudly endorse a true community service leader, Dan Gilbert, as Weston's first selectman.
