EASTON, Conn. ? Young basketball players still have time to register for a shooting clinic next week with former UConn star Craig Austrie. The three-hour session will take place Saturday, Nov. 26, at the Easton Community Center. Registration deadline is Thursday, Nov. 24.
Austrie, who graduated from UConn in 2009, is a former player for the Springfield Armor in the NBA Development League. He was named First Team All-State in 2004 and 2005 and the Gatorade Player of the Year in 2005. He was a starting player in the 2009 Final Four with UConn.
The clinic will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. It is open to all area middle school and high school players. The clinic is $90 for center members, $100 for nonmembers.
